Icy only worked on the firmware 3.0. This was done in an experimental alternative to Cydia. People thought Cydia was too slow, it has a little faster. Ice.
Rock is in 3.1.1 and 3.1.2 firmware. Just another alternative to Cydia, Cydia COS people found it too slow.
Always use Cydia. Icy Rock & Cydia trying to do, but sometimes makes mistakes and mess up the iPod / iPhone.
